Here’s your chance to make a difference. Programs cost money. Even though the Legion is happy to take on the challenge of sponsoring all of these on our own. We’ve enjoyed that sole honor for years. We understand if others want to get in on the act. Make a donation towards a program of your interest. Sponsor in part or in whole. You’ll get a thank you note and gratitude from those affected. Can’t sponsor them all? That’s ok, small donations add up. Use link at bottom of page to donate.
It costs $300 to register each attendee for the week. We provide a travel stipend of $100. That’s the $400. We would like to send a minimum of two and ideally as many qualified boys each year. See program description under Americanism on the Post 294 page.

College money! Who wants college money? Everyone. We haven't increased this scholarship in years and would love to increase or multiply the program. Your assistance can help. See description in Youth Programs on the Post 294 page.
This is one of our larger costs and we are happy to do it. At one point in the past we didn't have the funds to fully fund the event. We are doing better now and partner with the VFW. If you've attended in the past or just think it is a great thing to do, we'll happily let you help with the funding. See description in Youth Programs on the Post 294 page.
We invite those attending the Veterans Day ceremony to stop by the Post hall and visit for awhile. The food is not gourmet nor a full meal. It has sometimes fallen short of expectations but with your help we try to make it a little better.
There is more to playing ball these days than simply having one ball and a bat. The cost of travel and most equipment is borne by the players and families. The real cost we sponsor is assisting in tournament fees, umpire stipends and training costs. See description in Americanism on the Post 294 page.
We buy 8"x12" stick flags for use as grave markers on Memorial Day. We give them out free. We haven't had an offer to pay for the effort in years. That said, we still do it because it is the right thing to do to honor those fellow veterans that are no longer here. If you'd like help...awesome.
There is not a huge expense to being the Charter sponsor of a Scout troop. We provide a meeting space. It is nice though when we also offer to help buy new equipment or subsidize a major trip. See description in Americanism on the Post 294 page.
The listed donation is the cost of each veterans panel that line the stairs going to the museum We’ll put your donation of any amount to work creating displays and honoring the stories of those that served.
What? Volunteer you say. Veteran or not, young or old, everyone can volunteer for at least one program we run. We do even more than what was listed on this site. No meetings involved. No long term commitment. There's a good chance you don't even have to walk inside the Post building. You are volunteering. We understand. Call us and we will find something that fits your style.
If you’ve made it this far in the page you probably realize everything costs money. It's just like a home. There is always something to fix or upgrade. Besides our programs, there is general upkeep of the building and administrative costs associated with running the post. *This is separate from the club room operations that run a little above break even.
In all cases indicate the pledge program, amount, and provide contact information.
